Hello @Nigel002 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Cable Connection:

    • Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both your monitor and PC.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to rule out a faulty cable.
  2. Select the Correct Input Source:

    • Make sure the monitor is set to the correct input source. Use the monitor's on-screen display menu to select HDMI input.
  3. Update Drivers:

    • Update your graphics drivers on your PC. Visit the manufacturer's website of your graphics card for the latest drivers compatible with your operating system.
  4. Restart and Reconnect:

    • Disconnect the HDMI cable, restart your computer, and then reconnect the cable.
  5. Test on Another PC:

    • If possible, connect the monitor to another PC to see if it is detected. This can help determine if the issue is with the monitor or the original PC.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, there might be an issue with the monitor. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
