I have a new all-in-one 24-cr0345nh PC.  The keyboard, mouse and touch screen are not working.

Hi @Edicken,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can imagine how unsettling it must feel when none of your input devices, keyboard, mouse, or even the touchscreen, respond on a brand-new HP All-in-One 24-cr0345nh PC. Let’s gently walk through the steps to bring your system back to life.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for Keyboard, Mouse & Touchscreen

1. Basic Power & Connection Check

  • Ensure the PC is fully powered on and not in sleep mode.
  • If using a wireless keyboard/mouse, check for:
    • Fresh batteries
    • USB receiver securely plugged in
    • The power switch on the devices is turned on

2. Try a Different USB Port

  • Plug the keyboard/mouse into a different USB port.
  • Avoid using USB hubs; use ports directly on the PC.

3. Touchscreen Not Responding? Try This:

  • Restart the PC.
  • Go to Device Manager:
    • Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager
    • Expand Human Interface Devices
    • Look for an HID-compliant touch screen
    • If missing, click Action > Scan for hardware changes
    • If present but not working, right-click > Enable device

4. Update or Reinstall Drivers

5. Reset BIOS (if nothing works)

  • Shut down the PC.
  • Turn it on and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  • Use arrow keys to Load Setup Defaults, then Save & Exit.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
