m2n68-la (Narra 5) Motherboard
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have an old Pavilion Desktop with an m2n68-la (Narra 5) motherboard and Athlon X2 7550 and I wanted to replace the included ATI HD 4350 with a GT 710 I have lying around so that I can take advantage of hardware acceleration for video and music playback in windows 10, but any time I try the GT 710, the motherboard does not recognize it and instead uses the graphics built into the chipset. Is there any way that I can get the GT 710 to work with this motherboard? It appears to have the bios version 5.38.

From what I read and from memory that series motherboard does not accept the NVidia GT 7** series cards because of the BIOS.  The best that will work with consistency is the NVidia GT 6** series.

While I have read that some did get a GT 710 to work with some manipulations, not everyone could get it to work.  There used to be some videos on YouTube to show how to manipulate the system and the procedure needed, but that was some time ago, when the transition to the GT 7** series was happening, and some of the "inbetween cards had a switch to accommodate the two BIOS schemes.
