I recently purchased a Dell Ultra Sharp U2725QE monitor and noticed that my HP Desktop HDMI port only supports 4K at 60 Hz. Is there any way to configure the setup or use an alternative connection to achieve a higher refresh rate, such as 4K at 120 Hz?

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_9972493-9972608-16
It has
(1)HDMI 1.4b/HDCP 2.2 output port
(1) VGA output port
Please read : https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi1_4b : with HDMI 1.4b you can get 4K 3840×2160 at 24, 25, and 30 Hz.
You can add one of the following options to get better output (please check PSU first).
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060 (8 GB GDDR6 dedicated)
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 (12 GB GDDR6 dedicated)
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti (8 GB GDDR6 dedicated) with LHR
Regards.

Thank you very much for your response and the detailed information. I primarily use my monitor for high-resolution text clarity and reading because I spend 8-9 hours reading and typing, not for gaming. Therefore, I’m considering adding the ASRock AMD Radeon RX 6400 Challenger ITX 4GB GDDR6 graphics card. Because the card does not require an additional power supply and supports 4K at 120Hz, which would enhance text clarity for my reading needs. I’m currently using a 4K display at 60Hz. Which brand offers the best version of the AMD Radeon RX 6400 Challenger ITX 4GB GDDR6? Also, is it worth upgrading for my use case?
