@123raja, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
Let's work together to get your touchpad working again on your Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d0000 running Windows 11.
Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check if Touchpad is Disabled
Some HP laptops allow you to disable the touchpad by double-tapping the top-left corner of the touchpad. Try double-tapping that area to see if it re-enables.
Perform a Hard Reset
A hard reset can clear temporary memory and may fix hardware detection issues.
- Turn off your laptop.
- Disconnect the AC adapter and all peripherals (USB drives, printers, etc.).
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the AC adapter and power on the laptop.
Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics
You can test the touchpad using HP's built-in diagnostics tool:
- Turn off your laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Go to Component Tests > Mouse/Touchpad and run the test.
Update Touchpad Drivers
Outdated or missing drivers can cause touchpad issues.
- Visit the official HP driver page for your model:
Victus by HP 16-d0000 Drivers - Download and install the latest Touchpad or Synaptics/Precision Touchpad drivers.
- Restart your laptop after installation.
Update Windows
Make sure your system is up to date:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
