HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-k0022ns
Microsoft Windows 11

Good evening,

When I try to mirror my laptop's screen on my HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-k0022ns through HP Display Control and HDMI, I can't return to the computer's screen using the keys: Control + Shift + S + D. Also, I get a message that I need to update the HP Display Control, but when I do that, the same message keeps appearing. What can I do?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Isidre,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with screen mirroring on your HP Pavilion All-in-One. Here are a few questions to help narrow down the issue:

  1. Are you connecting through HDMI directly or using an adapter?
  2. Have you tried other display settings on both the laptop and the All-in-One?
  3. Is there a specific update error message for HP Display Control?

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Update the HP Display Control manually: Visit HP's support site, locate your model, and install the latest version of HP Display Control from there.
  2. Check HDMI connection: Ensure the cable and HDMI port are secure. Try another HDMI cable or port if possible.
  3. Adjust display settings: Open Display Settings on your laptop, and try selecting the mirror or duplicate option for external display output.
  4. Reinstall Display Control Software: Uninstall HP Display Control, restart your computer, then reinstall it to clear any update issues.
  5. Enable HDMI-In Mode: Use your All-in-One’s built-in HDMI input control (often through settings or a physical button) to confirm it’s in HDMI-In mode, not HDMI-Out, which could cause display issues.

These steps should help improve your setup and remove any looping update prompts. If issues persist, Contact phone support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
