i rebooted and do not see the "Once the computer presents you with the boot options choose the VGA mdoe."

 

Please advise...

on the back - it's the [x] power cord, [x] monitor cable 1, [ ] monitor cable 2

not sure about what cable 1 and cable 2 are....

Sorry, I did not receive system text to let ma know some one updates you post. Your minitor ONLY

 

Supports DVI-D and VGA video input connectors your machine also has

  • One (1) DVI-D port
  • One (1) 15-pin VGA port

Therefore all you need to do to connect right cable same connectors at BOTH ends.

 

DVI cable will look like

VGA cable will look like (normally blue or cyan)

I have both cables connected.  Do i need to remove one? Do I need to restart the computer too?

i have the right cable connected now. the screen resolutions available are: 1920x1440. 1600x1200,1280x1024,1024x768,800x6-00.  It does not show 1600x900.  What next please and why does it not show the 1600x900 please?
