Which inexpensive graphics card would be a good upgrade from the current NVIDIA GeForce 405 which I currently have.

Hi:

 

Since your PC has a legacy BIOS, you can't upgrade to any Nvidia card newer than one of the models in the GT(X) 6XX series that works with your PC's 300W power supply, and doesn't require a supplemental power connector.

 

Check on eBay for a used but tested and working Nvidia GT 620.
