HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg3000 (78G46AV)

When my laptop is connected to Airtel Wi-Fi, the connection automatically gets disconnected after a few minutes. The same Wi-Fi network works perfectly fine on my mobile phone and another PC, so the issue seems to be with my laptop.

  • Tried “Forget Network” and reconnected — issue persists.

  • Verified that other devices have no disconnection issue.

Please suggest a solution or steps to fix this frequent disconnection problem on my laptop.

@Sachin_Gaur, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your HP Pavilion Laptop. Here are several troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the issue:

Update Network Drivers:

  • Ensure your network adapter drivers are up-to-date. You can check this by going to Device Manager. Expand the 'Network adapters' section, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter, and select 'Update driver'.

Check Power Management Settings:

  • Go to Device Manager, find your network adapter, right-click and select 'Properties'.
  • Under the 'Power Management' tab, make sure the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked.

Network Troubleshooter:

  • Run the built-in Windows Network Troubleshooter. Go to 'Settings' > 'Update & Security' > 'Troubleshoot' > 'Additional troubleshooters', and select 'Internet Connections'.

Reset Network Settings:

  • You can reset your network settings by going to 'Settings' > 'Network & Internet' > 'Status' > 'Network Reset'.

Adjust Network Profile:

  • Go to 'Settings' > 'Network & Internet' > 'Wi-Fi' and manage your known networks.
  • Select your Airtel network and set it to 'Private'.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date with the latest updates and patches.
