This may sound crazy, but this could be the result of a malware attack. Maybe try...
I am not an affiliate of HP and do not represent them in any way. I am a volunteer and I have little to moderate experience with computers. Proceed with caution when resetting, back up important files, etc.

The wrong driver has somehow been loaded. Your system worked fine until a few days ago.
I recommend restoring your system to a restore point that was before the problem occured.
Type "restore" in the windows search window and select "create a restore point". The following will pop up
Select "System Restore" then "Next" and look for a restore point. You should check the "more": box [X]
Look for a date that which time the Bluetooth was working ok.
The date and time of the first Bluetooth event error message can be a clue.
If none then post back here so something else can be tried.
[edit] I suspect the malware that @SwirlyStone5877 suggested is actually an unwanted update from Microsoft. In any event selecting a restore point "resets" the computer to the time before the problem occurred. Doing a full reset like Swirly suggested would be needed if there are not any restore points. The following warning about a reset
This reset option will reinstall Windows operating system and keeps your personal files, such as photos, music, videos or personal files. However, it will remove apps and drivers you installed, and also removes the changes you made to the settings.
You will have to reinstall and activate any licensed software after a full reset. Try a restore point first.

So I finally got around to doing a system restore, but it made no difference.
I checked device manager today and the driver for Bluetooth was showing as disabled. When I select enable everything in the device manager box refreshes every 1-2 seconds. When I disable the driver, this stops.
Any more suggestions to try? Thanks

The only other thing I can think of before suggesting hardware problem is that the WiFi driver does not match the Bluetooth driver
Both drivers are used on that m.2 combo card, part number 852510-001. Possibly the WiFi needs to be updated to the same Oct 11, 2022 version.
Try installing the WiFi driver for the 3168 card
You may then need to re-install the Bluetooth one
