OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The computer previously had Bluetooth, but suddenly after an install with the HP support associate, the option for Bluetooth and the drivers has disappear. Installing the driver doesn't fix the issue. I have reinstalled windows, update the bios, network, all I can think of, and none has made it so Bluetooth works again.

Hi @Abe_24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with Bluetooth on your OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a after an install with the HP Support Assistant, and installing the driver doesn't fix the problem, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  1. Check the Device Manager:

    • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the "Bluetooth" section and see if there are any devices listed. If there are, check if they have any error symbols (yellow triangle with an exclamation mark).
    • If there are errors, right-click on the Bluetooth device and select "Update driver." Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.
  2. Enable Bluetooth in Windows:

    • Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
    • Go to Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Make sure the Bluetooth toggle switch is turned on.
  3. Check the BIOS/UEFI Settings:

    • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a specific key during startup, such as F2, F10, or Del).
    • Look for a section related to integrated peripherals or wireless settings and ensure that Bluetooth is enabled.
  4. Rollback the Driver:

    • If updating the Bluetooth driver didn't work, try rolling back to the previous driver version. In the Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth device, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.
  5. Uninstall and Reinstall Bluetooth Driver:

    • In Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth device, select "Uninstall device," and then restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
  6. System Restore:

    • If the issue occurred after using HP Support Assistant, consider using System Restore to revert your system to a state before the problematic update. Search for "System Restore" in the Windows search bar and follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. HP Support Assistant:

    • It's possible that HP Support Assistant may have installed an incompatible or faulty driver. You can try disabling or uninstalling HP Support Assistant temporarily to see if it's causing the issue.
  8. Check for Windows Updates:

    • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any available Windows updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
