Product: HP Z230 Tower Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I have a HP230Z Desktop currently connected to internet via ADSL (no wireless facility on desktop)
NBN connected & operational, however, modem in different room
Need to connect my desktop to NBN wirelessly, instead of running a 20 metre cable
 
Is there a gadget I can buy to plug into my desktop to act as a wireless connector?

Does your HP Z230 have wireless option ? Otherwise you can use USB Wifi adapter/dongle such as the following one

 

              https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Networking/Adapters/67965-USB-AC53-NANO

 

I bought the above adapter (same shop) just few weeks before Covid-19 for my older laptop. Others may also stock it or similar and/or cheaper.
