My computer has been hooked up to a wireless connection for at least a couple years. I had the power (thing) replaced and now it can no longer see any wireless networks. It only wants me to connect through ethernet.

Did you install this driver before: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54001-54500/sp54416.exe
Its networking driver. Try to check in device manager in windows, search to networking adapter, look for an error, or yellow triangle, if yes, maybe the driver is the problem. If you dont find any error or networking information, maybe the networking board is the problem.
Others possible solutions, is windows update, recovery system, reinstall windows.
