HP ZBook 15 G5 Mobile Workstation RCTO Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with my HP ZBook 15 G5 Mobile Workstation.

Device details:

  • Model: HP ZBook 15 G5

  • System: Windows 11 Pro

  • Windows version: 10.0.26200 Build 26200

  • BIOS: HP Q70 Ver. 01.29.01

  • Wireless adapter: Intel Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz

The problem is that Bluetooth is not detected on the laptop. It does not appear normally in Device Manager, and there is a yellow warning mark related to the firmware/driver. The error message I saw was:

“Code 14: This device cannot work properly until you restart your computer.”

I also saw this message:

“Firmware update failed due to insufficient system resources.”

I contacted support remotely, and they tried to troubleshoot the issue and download/install drivers from HP, but the problem was not solved. They said it may be related to the firmware driver, and that the Bluetooth card may not be visible because of the firmware issue. They also advised me to contact HP support before trying any firmware update, because installing the wrong firmware version could cause motherboard problems.

My questions are:

  1. What is the correct BIOS/firmware version for my HP ZBook 15 G5?

  2. Could this issue be fixed by reinstalling the correct HP firmware/BIOS, or does it require checking the internal Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card physically?

  3. Is this a known issue with HP ZBook 15 G5 and Windows 11?

  4. What is the safest next step before visiting a service center?

I would appreciate any advice from HP experts or users who had the same issue.

Thank you.

Hi @Mohammedwael22

The latest version of the BIOS is as follows:

I recommend using HPIA and checking for updates
