Product: Pavilion P6370a
Operating System: Linux

With Windows 7 now being unsupported I formatted the hard drive and installed Linux on my P6370a.  All works well except the old Windows7 firewall remains and prevents me enabling the Ethernet network to the modem therefore I have no Internet. How can I remove the Windows7 firewall without having Windows7 installed. Sadly I scrapped the Windows7 installation disks two weeks ago. Your help would be most appreciated. Philip

Welcome back to the forum Philip.

I am not a HP employee.

 

The Windows 7 firewall cannot be the issue. You formatted the HDD and installed Linux.

 

Windows 7 is gone.
