hp pavillion 23 all in one product No. H6U09AA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded to a faster internet 5G and it does not show up in the available networks.   It works on my phone and the speed is way up (170-190 mbps). Speed test on my computer is still 40-50 Mbps.  Trying everything.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thank you

You need a different wireless card. They are quite cheap. yours is b/g/n, you need either a/b/g/b or the best would be an ac card.

Hi,

The Wireless card in your PC is not a dual band card. If we look at the spec page for the PC we can see that the card is

Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n featuring Single-band (2.4Ghz) 1x1

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-23-b300-all-in-one-desktop-pc-series/5395618/model/...

You will need to upgrade to a dual band module (ac) to be able to use the 5Ghz network.

Hope it helps,

David

Is the dual band something I can download for this computer or do I have to buy a different wireless card at best buy or something?

I went to Staples and got an AC600 Duel Band adapter.  Worked like a charm.  Its over four times faster in every speed test.  Each website is a breeze now.  Huge difference.

Thank you so much David.  Happy Holidays.
