Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I rec'd this error code when I ran a hard drive test,  9GFMW4-8QXB0L-XD4CRF-60R403,  what does it mean?  My system is no longer under warranty,  the warranty expired in 2018.   Thanks in advance I appreciate your help.

Hi:

Below is the failure report generated by the code you posted, minus your PC's serial number.

Failure Information
Failure ID Tag Checksum HP Serial Number Test Date Failure Code Device Includes Error Message
9GFMW4-8QXB0L-XD4CRF-60R403OK00000000001/20/22303StorageFloppy Drive, Hard Drive, Memory Drive, Optical Drive, SCSI, Tape DriveHard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure

You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.

Below is the link to the service guide where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Microsoft Word - 854254-001 - Shave2_HDD_CSR.doc (hp.com)

After you replace the hard drive, you can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After Windows 10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.

HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p017c Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support

Your PC may also be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool that you can use to reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...you will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with, and another Windows PC running W7 64 bit or newer.
