Hi @Koom1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since your HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-a010 lost Bluetooth functionality after an update and you’ve already tried reinstalling the driver, here are some additional steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check if Bluetooth is Enabled

  • Press Win + A to open Action Center and see if Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and check if Bluetooth is listed.
  • If it’s missing, proceed with the next steps.

Restart the Bluetooth Services

  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  2. Locate Bluetooth Support Service.
  3. Right-click and select Restart.
  4. Set the Startup Type to Automatic.

Reinstall Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 Drivers

Since Bluetooth is part of your Intel Wi-Fi module, reinstalling the Wi-Fi & Bluetooth driver might help.

Uninstall the Drivers

  1. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network Adapters and Bluetooth.
  3. Right-click on Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 and select Uninstall device.
  4. If prompted, check Delete the driver software for this device, then click Uninstall.
  5. Restart your PC.

Download and Install the Latest Drivers

  • Visit the Intel Download Center.
  • Search for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165.
  • Download and install both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers.

Enable Hidden Bluetooth Devices

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Check if Bluetooth appears and update it manually by right-clicking and selecting Update driver.

Perform a Windows Update Rollback

If the issue started after a Windows update, rolling back may help:

  1. Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Click on View update history > Uninstall updates.
  3. Find the most recent update and uninstall it.

Run Windows Bluetooth Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Click Bluetooth > Run the troubleshooter.

Check BIOS Settings

If Bluetooth is still not working:

  1. Restart and enter BIOS/UEFI (press F10 at startup).
  2. Look for Wireless Configuration and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  3. Save changes and exit.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

@Koom1, Thank you for your response.

Since you've already tried all the common troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling drivers, restarting services, rolling back updates, and checking the UEFI BIOS without finding a Wireless Configuration option, let's try some advanced fixes:
1. Verify if the Bluetooth Device is Recognized by Windows

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Bluetooth and Network Adapters.
  • If Bluetooth is missing:
    • Click View > Show hidden devices.
    • If it appears grayed out, right-click and select Enable.
  • If you still can’t see it, check Other Devices or Unknown Devices.

2. Check for Intel Bluetooth Device in System Information

  • Press Win + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.
  • Navigate to Components > Problem Devices.
  • If your Intel Bluetooth adapter is listed with an error, let me know what it says.

3. Reset Windows Bluetooth Stack

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Run the following commands one by one:
    net stop bthserv
    net stop bthusb
    net stop bthaud
    sc delete bthserv
    sc delete bthusb
    sc delete bthaud
    net start bthserv
    net start bthusb
    net start bthaud

  3. Restart your PC and check Bluetooth functionality.

4. Reinstall Bluetooth Using Intel’s Clean Install Method

Intel has a specific process for completely reinstalling the Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 Bluetooth & Wi-Fi drivers:

Uninstall Everything Related to Intel Wireless:

  • Open Device Manager and uninstall Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers.
  • Check Delete the driver software for this device before uninstalling.
  • Go to Apps & Features in Windows Settings and uninstall anything related to Intel PROSet/Wireless or Bluetooth.
  • Restart the PC.

Download & Install Latest Intel Drivers

  • Go to Intel Download Center.
  • Search for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 and download:
    • Wi-Fi Driver
    • Bluetooth Driver
  • Install Wi-Fi first, then Bluetooth.

Restart and check if Bluetooth works.

5. Force Windows to Detect the Adapter

  1. Press Win + X and open Device Manager.
  2. Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
  3. If Bluetooth still doesn’t appear:
    • Go to Network Adapters.
    • Click View > Show hidden devices.
    • Right-click and select Update driver for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165.

6. Reset Windows Networking & Bluetooth

  1. Open Command Prompt as Admin and run:
    netsh int ip reset
    netsh winsock reset
    ipconfig /flushdns
  2. Restart your PC.

7. Perform a System Restore (If Applicable)

If Bluetooth was working before a recent update, try rolling back your system:

  1. Press Win + R, type rstrui, and hit Enter.
  2. Select a restore point from before the issue started.
  3. Follow the prompts to restore your system.

8. Check for Hardware Issues

If none of the above works, your Intel 3165 module might be failing. Since Bluetooth is part of the same chip as Wi-Fi:

  • If Wi-Fi is also malfunctioning, the module could be defective.
  • If only Bluetooth is affected, it could be a firmware or driver issue.

If our solution hit the spot, please click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an incredible day ahead!
