Envy All-In-One

I have followed the steps in Windows for setting up the second monitor, but Windows cannot detect it.  I am using an HDMI connection.  The second monitor is a Philips, it indicates it has power, but the screen remains blank. I do not get any beep or other indication of a new device when I connect the HDMI cable from the monitor to the computer.

What is your HP Envy AIO ? Does it have HDMI out port ? Many HP machines only have HDMI in port, many have HDMI out port,  many have both and many do NOT have HDMI port at all.

To be able to connect to an external monitor, you need an OUT port on your machine.

Regards.
