I had ordered a wireless keyboard and mouse (HP 230) from amazon. I was away from the town and when I came back I tried connecting keyboard and mouse to my PC. But its not getting detected.

 

My PC has both wifi and bluetooth. Searched online and it mentions about a separate dongle receiver. My PC has no such dongle / receiver. Neither I have received it with my keyboard and mouse. Contacted Amazon and they said to contact HP.

 

Tried contacting HP online but its asking fort serial number. Inputted the serial number of keyboard but its not accepting them. Now, the returns period of seven days is also over on Amazon. They are not taking it back. And its just impossible to get through to HP customer care.

 

The serial number is given as [Personal Information Removed] on the back of the keyboard but its showing as invalid on HP page.

 

NO idea what to do now.

It doesn't matter if less than 7 days or not, with me if we have a problem, no worries, they make the exchange!
This keyboard kit has a usb dongle, to be used

check just in case, in the packaging, but often it can be in a compartment directly in the mouse

Its from India. And Amazon won't accept the returns after seven days period and I missed that. Called them multiple times but they r refusing to help.

 

And Its just next to impossible to get in touch with HP without the serial number and the serial number on the back of the keyboard is not getting accepted on the website.

I provided you all the details and then you are asking me to go to service centre. Why the hell you need details then. Nonsense. WOrst customer service ever. First ting, I will never buy from Amazon again and second thing if I have ever to do it then I will make sure that I will never buy the HP product online.
