Product: Compac Presario sr5433wm desktop pc
Operating System: Linux

I installed Linux Mint 20 and get this message. " You must sign in to this network before you can access the internet " When I sign in I get a  user name or password error.

Do you have an Ethernet cable between your computer and your cable-modem, or are you connecting to the cable-modem via WiFi? If the latter, are you entering the SSID of your WiFi network, and the corresponding password?
