My desktop connects to the internet but it cannot communicate with any websites. I have the same problem with a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Sometimes when I disconnect and reconnect, the browser works for several minutes but then fails again. I called Hp support and worked with two different people for nearly five hours. I had to pay $50 plus $15 per month for the next year for their service, even though I have a three year service contract. Can I get my money back if they can’t solve the problem? My iPad and iPhone work just fine as long as the desktop is not connected to the internet. However, if the desktop is on and connected the download speed for the iPad drops from 23 to 6 mps. I called my internet provider, they checked my modem router and found no problems. The problem seemed to start after a MicroSoft update. Has anybody else seen a similar problem? Could it be a hardware problem?
