I had an HP laptop and used some JBL Wave earpods successfully while I had it. Recently upgraded to a new HP laptop but the earpods will not connect. Now and again I do hear some staticy noise but unable to hear anything normal.

Can anyone suggest what the problem may be?

Thanks Banhien. I asked the HP fixit page and it came up with an audio driver download that seems to have fixed my problem at the moment. Hope it lasts that way.

Two possibilities

(a) You need a driver for JBL earpods. Please check the vendor

(b) Pease try a clean install Audio driver

     1. Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.exe

                           and save on your computer
     2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
     3. Reboot machine,
     4. Install downloaded file above,
     5. Reboot machine.

Please try (a) first

Hope this helps.
