Hi @Rphilips,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your USB keyboard isn't working on an HP desktop, the first step is to check the connection by ensuring the keyboard is properly plugged into a functioning USB port, then try a different port on the computer; if that doesn't work, please try a BIOS update from the HP Website, once BIOS is installed plug the Keyboard to the PC and check.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Like I was say in my initial message. I have used three keyboards with the same results. I ran a HP diagnostic app where I press any key on the keyboard and the app displays the key pressed. Everything was just fine, so that shoud indicate that keyboard is working and is properly connected. The only thing is if that app and the computer operating software and the diagnostic app use different drivers. I have tryed reloading drivers, but I can't find one that none of tha drivers specified that it had thecorrect driver, I have not yet tried reloading the Computer BIOS. I'm not sure how to do that yet, but I'll look around to see if I can find it.
That's what I have found.I have no idea of what else I can do. Can you help me troubleshoot this problem futher.
Thank you for any other help you can provide to me.

Hi @Rphilips,
Thank you for the update! Please use the link, which contains all the necessary drivers, including the BIOS update (Version F.40 Rev.A). To proceed:
- Click on the BIOS update and select Download.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.
- Once the BIOS update is complete, please also install the chipset drivers.
Please note that there is no specific driver for the keyboard, but once these drivers are installed, kindly test the system and let us know if the issue persists.
We're happy to assist further if needed! 😊
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
