Keyboard stopped working

Thanks for reaching out. I’ll help you with this. Could you please share a bit more detail about what exactly is happening with the keyboard?

  • Is it a laptop keyboard or an external (USB/wireless) keyboard
  • Are all keys not working, or only certain keys? 
  • Does the keyboard work in BIOS or on startup, or not at all? 
  • Any error messages, or did it stop suddenly? 

 

Quick checks in the meantime

For external keyboard:

  • Try a different USB port 
  • Test the keyboard on another device 
  • If wireless, check the battery and USB receiver 

 

For laptop keyboard:

  • Restart the system once 
  • Check if the Caps Lock light responds 
  • Try using the keyboard in the login screen / BIOS 

 

Once you share a bit more detail, I’ll guide you with the exact steps to fix it
