I am looking to replace my missing wifi antenna on my HP P6610f. I would like to just replace it with what was originally there, preferably without getting a new PCIe card. I noticed on this particular machine it uses a Mini PCIe card and a single wire connection to the antenna.
I don't know what kind of antenna I am looking for, so any help with part numbers or descriptions to get my desktop up and running on a wireless network would be great!
If I do have to get a new PCIe card to replace the old one that is missing the antenna...should I remove the mini PCIe, or leave it alone since it's not connected to an antenna?

Hi:
Below is the link to the parts list for your PC.
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=BM417AA
The antenna part number you need is listed, but HP does not sell it anymore, so you would have to see if you could find one on eBay or somewhere.
If you can't get the replacement antenna, if it were me, I would remove the internal wifi card, and purchase an external dual band USB wifi adapter.

Thank you so much Provost! That page was a big help and I indeed ordered the Antenna off of eBay. Under $10 for a new in package antenna.
I am especially appreciative of the link you provided as it will allow me to search anything else I should need in the future. Now I just need to wipe it and do a clean Windows install...
