Hi @Parapanda,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand that your computer has a mobile hotspot option, but you cannot find the mobile data option. To help identify the cause, could you please confirm the following?
- What is your exact HP laptop model?
- Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
- Are you referring to the Cellular/Mobile Data option in Windows Settings, where you would normally see a SIM or mobile network connection?
- Does your laptop have a SIM card slot or built-in cellular connectivity, or are you trying to use mobile data from your phone?
In the meantime, please check the following:
- Open Settings > Network & Internet and look for Cellular.
- Open Device Manager and expand Network adapters. Check whether a cellular modem or mobile broadband adapter is listed.
- In Device Manager, select View > Show hidden devices and check whether any cellular device or unknown device appears.
- Open Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates and check for available network-related drivers.
Best regards,

Hi @Parapanda,
Thank you for confirming your laptop model.
The HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 was offered in configurations with and without optional mobile broadband connectivity. The Mobile Data/Cellular option will appear in Windows only if your particular configuration has a supported cellular modem installed and its driver is working.
Could you please confirm the following?
Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
Does your laptop have a SIM card tray, and are you trying to access mobile data using a SIM card?
In Device Manager > Network adapters, do you see a WWAN, LTE, or mobile broadband adapter?
In the meantime, you can check your laptop's specifications and available drivers through the official HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 support page.
If your configuration does not include the optional WWAN hardware, installing a driver alone will not add the Mobile Data option. Once you confirm the details above, we can guide you further.
Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
