Have p6710f and want to add bluetooth. Thoughts on replacing the RT3090 card vs adding a card using the expansion slots with external antennas. So, internal vs external antennas?

Hi:
According to the parts list for your PC it comes with a single antenna wire that is connected to the Ralink Wi-Fi card.
If all you want to do is to add Bluetooth to your PC, you can replace the Ralink card with this one:
Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter HP part # 753077-001
You should be able to find this model Wi-Fi card on eBay.
Search by the HP part number.
753077-001: Search Result | eBay
If you want to upgrade the Wi-Fi card to dual band + Bluetooth, you will need to use a PCie x1 Wi-Fi adapter and you need to make sure your PC has an internal 9-pin internal USB connector to attach the Bluetooth cable to.
HP has retired support for your PC so I can't find a picture of your PC's motherboard to see if it has one.
It should but...I don't know for sure.
