There is no harm in having them both connected.  There is a problem if the hardwire connection is not working.  What is shown when you bring up "Network and Internet Settings" ?

The following shows mostly hardwired traffic and a small amount of Wi-Fi

You can disable Wi-Fi to force the hardwire only.

One Gigabit hardwired Ethernet is working fine!  ???

Your Wi-Fi is not connected to anything.

Are you trying to use Bluetooth to allow connections to/from local smartphones?

Normally Bluetooth is used for mice and keyboards but occasionally it can be used for data transfer,
