HP Pavilion Elite HPE-510t CTO Desktop PC won't connect to network. WIN 10 diagnostics just tells me not connected to internet. Device manager says Realtek PCI GBE is working fine. I have plugged the ethernet cable into my laptop and immediately connects to the network and internet.

Hi
Let me state the obvious... These are kind of things you need
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.11(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 10 November 2018 09:52:59
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 11 November 2018 09:53:14
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
Then drivers etc.....
Copy and Paste into Notepad, save as LBB.bat and double click to run. Post anything relevant please. @ECHO OFF getmac systeminfo PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter" PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver" PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed" PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection" PAUSE
The above gives the drivers installed for your WiFi adapter and lots more.
Please give a few more details.

Thanks for your help. FYI, if I reboot the computer the little computer icon in the lower right corner reports a network connection and internet access, but this is wrong. If I open a browser, there is no connection to the internet. Eventually, the computer icon gets it and reports no internet access, which there hasn't been on this PC for about 5 days. I plugged the internet cable into a laptop that immediately got an internet connection.

Hi
Everything about the answer says NO WiFi card installed.
Physical Address Transport Name

Mine is 3 devices, WiFi, Ethernet and then Bluetooth. Active WiFi only.
You only have 1.
ComputerName : internetbeacon.msedge.net
RemoteAddress : 13.107.4.52
InterfaceAlias : WiFi
SourceAddress : 192.168.0.11
PingSucceeded : True
PingReplyDetails (RTT) : 19 ms
So can you run a physical hardware diagnostic? ESC and F2 possibly.
11-12-2018 04:45 AM
You are absolutely correct. No WIFI card. I should have been more clear in my original post when I talked about troubleshooting by removing the ethernet cable and then later checking that the ethernet cable was not the problen by plugging it into and connecting with a laptop. esc F2 does not bring up hardware diagnostics. I will search for that. Thanks.

Hi
Hardware option list is...
- Integrated 10/100/1000Mbps (Ethernet) WHICH YOU HAVE
- 802.11 b/g/n PCI Express Wireless Half-length Mini Card
- 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express Wireless Half-Length Mini Card
- 802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express Wireless Half-Length Mini Card + Bluetooth
Take the side cover off and inspect by eye for a WiFi Card.
