Purchased HP Motherboard #808920-002(Orchid3) to build around. It does not have the WLAN Card with it. All help is appreciated.

Hi:

 

According to the parts list for that model PC, that is an Intel 7260 HMC wifi card.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

It is going to be pretty difficult to find that part number.

 

Does the PC have the two antenna wires you will need to connect to the card?

 

I see a PCIe x1 slot on the motherboard.  If you are not using that, I would probably be easier to install a PCIe x1 wifi card that comes with an external antenna kit.

 

There should be a 9-pin internal USB connector on the motherboard for the Bluetooth.

 

I recently bought one of these wifi cards on eBay and it works great. Much newer than the outdated 7260AC.

Thank you very much for your quick response and for your info. Sounds to me like the best route is using the "X1" add-on. Definitely will bring me "up-to-date" as far as "wifi/bluetooth". Again- Thank you!
