HP Pavilion P6000 - p6710f

originally Win 7, updated to Win 10

installed a new drive

installed Win 10 Home

installed all updates

the NIC does not show lights on the card or the switch

the wireless does work

in Device Manager I see the wireless drivers but not a Network Controller or a wired NIC

on the HP support drivers page for this machine, I do not see drivers for Win 10, just Win 7

suggestions?

Hi, Darryl:

HP does not support that model PC for W10 since it was manufactured prior to August 2013.

HP Products Tested with Windows 10 | HP® Customer Support

The product specs for your PC indicate that it comes with the onboard Realtek Realtek RTL8105E 10/100 ethernet adapter.

W10 should have automatically installed a driver for that model ethernet adapter.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the W10 ethernet driver directly from Realtek.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W10 driver at the link below.
