I uninstalled my bluetooth driver from the device manager because it said online that if i did so, windows would automatically download whatever drivers I was missing. I did this because the option to turn bluetooth on or off was missing in the settings. I first ran the troubleshoot built in windows and it said "Device does not have bluetooth". This is not true because I know the pc i have has been working with bluetooth ever since I got it. I have tried to scan for hardware changes in the device manager and nothing happened. I tried to "Add legacy hardware" but i have not seen any HP/Intel driver for bluetooth. I went to the hp website where you can download the latest drivers but nothing happened after I ran the .exe files. I tried to run both the legacy version and the regular version but they both don't work. I have tried to use the HP support assistant but nothing there helped me with my drivers. I was looking at other solutions for this and saw that the HP recovery manager would reinstall my missing driver. I tried searching for this application but it does not exist. The adapter that came with the pc is Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265. I went to the Intel website to download the latest bluetooth driver (BT_21.80.0_64) but nothing happened. I'm not sure if this version does not work anymore or i installed the driver incorrectly.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon .
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
