First of all, thank you for your patience and your reply!

To answer your questions, there is no red x next to my Wi-Fi signal because I simply don't have a Wi-Fi signal when it doesn't work. The only thing there is the 'cable-sign'...

Next, all other devices in the house are able to connect to the Wi-Fi so I'm 100% sure it's working fine.

I am able to connect through cable, I am doing this for the past 2 weeks now...

I will try the updating (although I think I already tried this before), then I will try the push button reset. I'm afraid I can't do the factory reset because I don't have a hard drive to back-up my files...

If nothing works, I will most likely try to open up the laptop... Or just give up and take it to a repair shop.

Anyways, thanks for the efforts, if you got any other advice, please let me know!

Kind regards

Arne

Update: I have done all the updating before, and the push button reset too. (This resulted in getting back my wifi for 1 day...)

So yeah, I think I have done everything I could already... Just strange that sometimes the Wi-Fi works again for a while, so I have a hard time believing that the internal wifi adapter is broken.

Hi @ArneDB1,

As I understand you have tried the steps suggested and still seems to have the issue. I would suggest here is to procure a WiFi USB dongle and plug it to one of the USB ports. Then connect to the router with it. It is extremely cost effective and economical. You could get it from a local Best Buy or Staples location or order one online at Amazon or Ebay.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

It has been a while since I last replied here, but I thought this reply would be useful to other people who have the same issue as me.

I finally decided to open up my laptop (it wasn't as hard as I expected) and I reconnected my WiFi-adapter. My wireless networks have been working for 3 days straight now, so I think it's finally solved!

Thank you for the support.

Kind regards

Arne
