Hi,

You should get an option to use either 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz when you connect to your local network.

The WIFI is installed in M.2 WLAN socket. There should be an antenna connected to the WIFI card.

The M.2 WLAN socket is next to the DIMM sockets.

Well, I could not get to the area of the board where WiFi module is because a CD-RW driver is blocking the view. I am incapable of disassembling those to get to the module. I will just try to reconnect to the router and see if I can choose the 5GHz option.

Thanks,

I just rolled back to 2024.0.8.107 and it shows 325.0Mbps Speed on Wi-Fi Status and 138.7Mbps on Xfinity speed test.

THANK YOU!  The newer driver is the culprit!

Hi GK-Envy,

You're very welcome.

Cool!

It is best to use OEM (HP) drivers when you can.
