@harmis_69, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi Connection Issues on Your Laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your laptop is showing that it is connected to Wi-Fi but there is no internet access while other devices are working fine, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Restart Your Devices:
- Restart your laptop and router. This can often resolve temporary issues.
Check for Network Issues and Settings:
- Make sure your laptop is within a range of the Wi-Fi signal.
- Ensure that the network cable (if using Wi-Fi extender) is properly connected.
Update Drivers:
- Make sure your network drivers are up to date. You can use Device Manager or HP Support Assistant to update drivers.
- Use HP Support Assistant, which can be found preinstalled on HP PCs, or download it here.
Reset Network Settings:
- Go to Settings -> Network & Internet -> Status -> Network reset. This will reinstall network adapters and set your network settings back to the default.
Check Firewall and Security Software:
- Sometimes firewall or security software can block the connection. Try disabling them temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
