I have an HP Envy 27 Touchscreen Tilt with built-in two-way wireless radio frequency for the mouse and keyboard (doesn't use a USB).  The mouse was knocked onto the floor and now the scroll wheel doesn't scroll the screen.  It turns freely in the casing like it has come off whatever makes it scroll the screen.  I popped the top cover off thinking I could separate the base and put the wheel "back" onto whatever makes it scroll the screen but I can't work out how to separate it.

Can anyone help please?

Also, I believe the mouse is specific to my desktop and therefore can't be replaced?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

hi

If not repairable, the best thing to do is to replace it.
either you buy a mouse with a usb dongle
maybe a bluetooth mouse
