I work in a small office. All of our corporate data is stored on an in-house network cloud. The cloud lives on our Z Drives. When I came into work this week, my Z Drive corporate data is gone, leaving me with a Z drive that has been renamed HP_TOOLS (Z:) containing two folders, Hewlett-Packard and HP. Both of these folders contain subfolders named BIOS and BIOSUPDATE. I need to return my computer back to the network drive (our cloud). I can't simply give it another drive name since many of our files are pathway dependent. Any ideas?
Additionally, I am using an HP printer (HP Officejet 7612) that has been giving me trouble. It couldn't find the print head, so I installed a new driver. I do not know for certain if these two events coincided, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
What you need to do is change the drive letter of HP_TOOLS so it no longer uses "Z", and you do that as follows:
1) In the start area, enter "create and format" (without the quotes)
2) Select "Create and format hard disk partitions" This will start the Disk Management console
3) Scroll down through the list of partitions until you see the HP_TOOLS
4) Right-click on that and select "Change Drive Letter and paths"
5) Click the Change... button
6) Select a different letter from the pulldown
7) Click OK
😎 Close out and reboot
After the PC restarts, the HP_TOOLS partition should no longer be "Z".
Good Luck
