It comes with a single band 2.4 GHz wifi adapter.

@AL0035 -- It comes with a single band 2.4 GHz wifi adapter.
As a bypass, you could disable that adapter, and purchase and connect an inexpensive 5G WiFi adapter that connects to a USB socket. Windows will then use that device.
Note that 5G promises a stronger signal, but for a shorter distance (through walls, etc.)
Does your WiFi router only support 5G, and not support 2.4G?
