Hi:
Unfortunately, that is a very common problem with the Ralink Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter that came with your PC and the newer builds of W10.
The device completely disappears from the device manager and there are no fixes that I know of other than to go back to W8.1 (not recommended), replace the internal Ralink card with a different model, or purchase a USB dual band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.
The parts list for your PC indicates that it comes with two antenna wires that are connected to the Ralink Wi-Fi card.
If you want to replace the internal card you should be able to use this one:
Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP part # 724935-001.
You should be able to find this model card on eBay.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
Below is the link to the service manual which will help you access the Wi-Fi card.

There is no procedure to remove or replace a Wi-Fi card, but this video shows how you would remove and install the same type of card your PC comes with.
Just put the antenna wires on the same terminals you took them off from.

Adding a USB Wi-Fi adapter would be the easiest thing to do, and this seems to be a good choice.
