Tech remotely updated this last one to have all the drivers and aparently the ethernet is broken now they are sending a box to ship this one back for repairs....
first one was a HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p056
this one is the HP PAV POWER 580-015XT DT PC US

You are running W7 OS on it?
The listed drivers are....

Intel Wireless LAN Driverssystem software Manager Icon

So could you try the WinKey + R and type msinfo32 and post the output for the adapters please (like this)?
AND confirm the operating system.

no it is not win 7
comes pre-loaded with Windows10
Tech has been no help what so-ever...they just send empty boxes that are the wrong size....
Now they are sending another box to return this one ....
I think they will send one for a laptop!
Tech kept referring to my laptop even though he had all the info in front of him that it is a Desktop.
Last screen tech saw before saying it has to be sent back:
small video of screen watch the try to network connect then disconnect over and over again every time,
small screen says " Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration
No it is not my cable or network

Hi
Your OP said Windows 7, so I asked.
I am not surprised the Ethernet doesn't work, that is perhaps is how it should be.
Quite often when your WiFi is active your Ethernet is inactive.
So switch off you intel Wifi and then retry your ethernet.

Hi
So now we can try and find an answer....
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
Name InterfaceDescription ifIndex Status MacAddress LinkSpeed
---- -------------------- ------- ------ ---------- ---------
Ethernet Realtek PCIe FE Ethernet 9 Disconnected AA-AA-AA-AA-AA-A8 0 bps
Bluetooth Bluetooth Device 17 Disconnected AA-AA-AA-AA-AA-A7 3 Mbps
WiFi Realtek RTL8723BE 802 18 Up AA-AA-AA-AA-AA-A6 72 Mbps
Name InterfaceDescription DriverFileName DriverDate DriverVersion NdisVersion
---- -------------------- -------------- ---------- ------------- -----------
Ethernet Realtek PCIe FE Ethernet rt640x64.sys 2015-04-06 9.1.406.2015 6.40
Bluetooth Bluetooth Device bthpan.sys 2006-06-21 10.0.16299.15 6.30
WiFi Realtek RTL8723BE 802 rtwlane.sys 2017-05-03 2023.54.33... 6.70
Those 2 command line entries produce 2 sets of data, some overlaps, but it does show if there in an ethernet adapter and if it has a driver loaded.

Hi
So now we have to assume it is a faulty Ethernet Cable and not the PC at all.
Every picture seems to say UNPLUGGED, so it must be the cable.
DHCP is enabled, so there is an install, an active ethernet adapter.
So if you can get a replacement cable locally and try that please.
If in doubt please ask.
