The HP Smart Tank 580 printer requires the HP Smart app for installation, which is compatible with Windows versions that support the app. According to HP, the HP Smart app is available on Windows 10 and later versions, macOS, Android, and iOS. Unfortunately, Windows 7 is not supported for the HP Smart app, which is likely why you are experiencing difficulties in installing the printer.

 

To proceed, you have a few options:

 

Upgrade Windows: Consider upgrading your Windows operating system to a version that supports the HP Smart app, such as Windows 10 or later.

 

Use Another Device: If upgrading is not an option, you can try installing the printer on another device that meets the software requirements (such as a computer running Windows 10 or macOS, or a mobile device running Android or iOS).

 

Alternative Printing Methods: In some cases, you might be able to use a different method for basic functionality, such as using USB connection for direct printing. However, this will not provide full functionality available through the app.
