Hi:

The card will only work correctly if there are currently two wifi antenna cables connected to the internal wifi card in there now.

So you will have to open up the PC and find that out first.

If it does have two antenna cables, you may as well upgrade to the Intel 7260 AC model...

It is readily available on Amazon or eBay. Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0        HP Part # 710661-001

Would it work if I put a second antenna in with the new card ?

HP Recommended

It would if you know exactly where to install it, and can get a matching antenna from somewhere.

I wouldn't know the answer to either of those impediments.

If you just want bluetooth, it would be a whole lot easier to purchase an external USB bluetooth adapter.

Ok thanks

You're very welcome.

I use this model USB bluetooth adapter on both of my HP business desktop PC's.  Works great.
