after updating from win 7 to win 10 my WIFI is missing from network and internet, I am connected on line through Ethernet , which first it was WIFI  though an ISP .I have an two in one modem/router. Ethernet cable connected in the first port back of modem, power cord, coax cable and telephone cable all in there right places in back of modem.checked Network adapters for updating their good.Power cycled, restarted ,checked LAN for DNS and IP automatic, done cmd/DNS flush , checked all updates still no wifi however im able to connect and see my network name on phone. but not on computer. All other options are there such as vpn, dial up,proxy and ethernet but still no WIFI nor network names, also went to configuration page of modem/router nope nothing, where did it fall off to.Even went in under local account to see if that mattered ,nope. Also troubleshooting did not matter nothing.Still no wifi.  help      help, this is annoying.I was considering "priority" in CMD. decided  not to.

I suspect the reason for no WiFi is Windows 10 did not install the driver for the Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN device.  Look for the device in Device Manager under Network adapters.  Here is the driver from HP for Windows 8

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-compaq-8000-elite-small-form-factor-pc...

If that does not work or will not install, have device manager look for the driver.

BTW: I found a site that informs the user on how to install the driver
