hi

What is the model of the computer

Hello

this is a recorded response (macro))
we need the exact model of your computer, and the product number
To find it follow this
for a desktop computer

HP Desktop PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? | HP® Customer Support

The M2N68-LA (Narra5) motherboard

If it is this motherboard it is just mentioned

  • TDP: 95W
  • Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
    note:
Only socket AM2+ processors are supported with this motherboard.
    • AMD Phenom II Quad-Core
    • AMD Phenom II Triple-Core
    • AMD Phenom Quad-Core (A) 9xxx series (AM2+)
    • AMD Phenom Triple-Core (T) 8xxx series (AM2+)
    • AMD Athlon X4
    • AMD Athlon X3
    • AMD Athlon X2 (B) (AM2+)

So an update may not change anything if a processor is not in the HP list

from what I found the tdp is not good
and most often just Socket AM3
Unless this is specified in a bios update, which CPU support is added better to avoid!
