@DOB9, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your wireless mouse is not working on your HP All-in-One - 24-g012 with Windows 10, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Mouse Connectivity:
- Make sure the wireless mouse's receiver is securely connected to your computer's USB port.
- Confirm that the batteries in the mouse are functional and properly installed.
Driver Update:
- You mentioned trying to download HP drivers. Ensure you are updating the USB drivers or the wireless drivers from the HP support page specific to your model.
Scan for Hardware Changes:
- Open Device Manager on your computer.
- Look for any mouse or pointing devices (e.g., HID-compliant mouse).
- Right-click and choose Scan for hardware changes to refresh your system's hardware discovery.
Reinstall Mouse Drivers:
- In Device Manager, right-click on the mouse device and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your computer and plug the wireless receiver back in. Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.
Test with a Different USB Port:
- Try connecting the mouse receiver to a different USB port on the computer to rule out port issues.
Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter to find and fix any issues.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure your Windows 10 is up-to-date. Updates can sometimes resolve underlying driver compatibility issues.
Download Appropriate Drivers:
- Make sure to download drivers specifically for your HP All-in-One model from the official HP Support website.
I hope this helps.
