This is driving me up the wall!!
Manually installed Windows Updates, restart PC and now stuck in stupid 'automatic repair' loop (diagnosing problems, auto repair tries to fix, couldn't repair your PC).
Can't boot in safe mode, can't refresh, can't restore etc. Managed to disable secure boot, but don't have recovery DVD; did hard reset...tried everything I can think of!
Just need to boot Windows and uninstall Windows updates...I think that will solve the issue.
PLEASE HELP!!

Hi there @MadgeMagic,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are stuck in a repair loop. I am happy to help with this. Please post the full product number for your computer. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Here are a few posts I found on Microsoft's Support forums that could be of help.
Windows 8.1 is stuck in boot up loop - answers.microsoft.com
Windows 8.1 Laptop stuck in Automatic Repair loop - No disc - answers.microsoft.com
Please let me know how that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Automatic Repair is NOT going to work -- not matter how many time you try it.
You will need to make repairs to your PC using external media in order to get it booting again.
What might work is the information in this link: https://neosmart.net/blog/2012/windows-8-recovery-disk-download/
You will have to PURCHASE that download in order to use it.
Good Luck
