I am haveing problems with the system Bluetooth, I get an error message that reads "ERROR:Unable to start Bluetooth stack service"  After being on the phone with HP for over 3 hrs they want to reinstall system to factory settings to get the driver reinstalled for the bluetooth,  No way, not going to happen.  The Product Name 200-5280qd,  Product Number XL727AV#ABA.

Is there anyway I can find the driver and reinstall it myself.

Hi:

According to your system specs you have a notebook-style WLAN card with built in bluetooth.

This should be the driver and software for it:

I tried to install the driver and got an error message:  "A later version of Bluetooth by HP is already installed on this machine.  This setup cannot continue."

I also noted under the instructions "  Bluetooth Module must be enabled and powered on. - Microsoft Windows 7 Bluetooth Bus Enumerator and Bluetooth Stack must be installed. - HP Wireless Assistant is required for device control via software.

Can it be possible with the error message that I have been getting that the Bluetooth Stack is not installed.

Hi, Frank:

That is possible, but where do you get the drivers for that from? You can try Windows Update or you can try manually adding the bluetooth enumerator via the add hardware menu in the control panel.

The HP Wireless Assistant is normally for notebooks and I don't think it would work on a desktop PC.
