HP TouchSmart IQ500.es
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Each time I switch on the PC, the clock and date change.  I can manage manually but next day when I switch on the PC again the issue persist with different date and timing.

How can i fix this issue?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

This is most likely happening because the CMOS battery inside your PC is weak or has died. That batter is needed to retain the time and date settings when the PC is powered off.  Without that battery, they reset to default -- which is what is happening to you.

This is a link to a setup poster for your PC:  http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01491489

You will see on the left a diagram about removing the back cover.

Once you get that off, look for a silver battery about the size of a nickel.  It will say something on it like CR 2032.  You need to remove that batter (it pops out) and replace it.

Then, after you set the time and date, it should stay.

Good Luck
