My computer is
1) beeping for quite a while when I turn it on before main screen appears
2) Though I log in with my password, it prompts that I am being logged in with a "Temporary Profile" and all files will be deleted. I am also given the option to restart to try to resolve the issue or dismiss. I've tried the restart option...it doesn't change a thing.
3) Can't save any files. Can download and read, but never save
If someone could help with these issues, I would greatly appreciate the assistance!
Thanks,
Tracy

Hi,
Welcome to HP Support Forum. I thinks you do not logon to your profile (with Admin priviledges) therefore you can't save files. You need to fix the profile first, please try

That's not good! It suggests that the motherboard has detected a problem, either a failing disk-drive, or an overheating CPU (probably due to a failed fan).
> 2) Though I log in with my password, it prompts that I am being logged in with a "Temporary Profile" and all files will be deleted.
Windows allows the creation of multiple "accounts", each with their own "Desktop" and "Wallpaper" and "My Documents" folder.
For some reason, when you login to your account, it cannot load the "profile" for your account.
So, it creates a "temporary" profile, and cautions you that any files that you do save will be deleted when you logoff or shutdown.
Restart your HP computer, and follow the on-screen instructions to launch the "HP Diagnostics" application.
Run those diagnostic tests -- you might have a "failing" disk-drive.
